Postdoctoral Fellowships in AI, Physics, Materials, Robotics and Engineering at AI4I AMED Lab
AI4I’s Advanced Materials & Engineering Design (AMED) Lab in Turin, Italy is inviting applications for
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships
with the lab as host institution.
The opportunity is aimed at experienced researchers with a PhD who want to develop an independent postdoctoral project in a highly interdisciplinary environment. The lab welcomes project ideas at the intersection of
artificial intelligence, physics, materials science, robotics, and engineering
, with particular interest in:
• physics-aware AI engines for simulation, design, and discovery
• scientific machine learning, neural operators, and graph-based modeling
• physics-informed generative models and inverse design
• robotic matter, active architected materials, and adaptive material systems
The host institution is the
Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI4I)
, and the lab is the
AMED Lab
. The post is led by
Marco Maurizi
, Principal Investigator. The post also references a related opportunity through
Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo
for
MSCA Seal of Excellence
projects, with AI4I reserved as host institution for two positions.
Funding
under MSCA PF includes a living allowance, mobility allowance if applicable, family allowance if applicable, long-term leave and special needs allowances, plus support for research, training, networking, management, and indirect costs. The CSP route is an additional host-based opportunity for Seal of Excellence projects in artificial intelligence.
Eligibility highlights
: applicants must hold a PhD by the deadline, meet MSCA mobility and research-experience rules, and prepare the application jointly with the host organisation. The post asks interested candidates to send a CV, a short research idea, and a brief statement of fit with the AMED Lab.
