Postdoctoral Fellow in Hematopoietic Biology, Malignancy, Cancer Immunology, and Computational Biology
UT MD Anderson Cancer Center is advertising a
Postdoctoral Fellow
position in the
Gu laboratory
focused on
hematopoietic biology, malignancy, cancer immunology, computational biology
, and
leukemia
. The lab studies how dysregulated cell-cell interactions shape tumor development and immune evasion, with projects centered on modulating cancer antigen presentation to improve immunotherapy and mapping the evolutionary trajectories of immune evasion in cancer.
The role is highly interdisciplinary and combines
functional genomics
,
single-cell/spatial multi-omics
,
CRISPR screening
, cell biology, biochemistry, data mining, machine learning, and mathematical modeling. The fellow will work closely with experimental and computational collaborators and will have access to major research platforms at MD Anderson and the Texas Medical Center, including computation clusters, single-cell and epigenetics cores, flow cytometry, drug screening, and animal facilities.
Applicants should have a PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong publication record and excellent communication skills. Experience in immunology, CRISPR screening, animal models, or cancer genomics is preferred. The position is full-time and offers a salary of
$64,000–$76,000
depending on postgraduate experience, plus benefits such as medical and dental coverage, paid time off, retirement, and tuition benefits.
