Postdoctoral Researcher in Cancer Drug Discovery and Translational Pharmacology

Idaho State University’s Zeleke Therapeutic Discovery and Translation Laboratory is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in cancer drug discovery and translational pharmacology . The position is based in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Idaho State University and is part of an NIH-funded cancer drug discovery program. The lab focuses on developing innovative small-molecule therapeutics targeting cancer cell-cycle regulators and other emerging oncology targets using medicinal chemistry , chemical biology , pharmacology , and translational cancer research . Research themes include cancer cell biology , therapeutic resistance , drug discovery , and molecular pharmacology . The successful candidate will contribute to federally funded projects aimed at discovering and developing next-generation cancer therapeutics, with opportunities to publish, present at scientific meetings, and mentor graduate and undergraduate trainees. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology , Pharmacology , Molecular Biology , Biochemistry , Medicinal Chemistry , or a related discipline. Desired experience includes mammalian cell culture , molecular biology , flow cytometry , Western blotting , microscopy , and drug screening . Strong communication skills and a strong publication record or demonstrated research productivity are expected. This is a full-time postdoctoral appointment with up to three years of support , contingent on satisfactory performance and continued funding.
