Two postdoctoral researcher positions are open in hydrological modelling and river health assessment for a project funded by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) on the Banas River Basin, Rajasthan . The project focuses on research topics including rainfall-runoff modelling, surface-groundwater interactions, climate and land-use change impact assessment, development of a Composite River Health Index, and GIS-based spatial prioritization for river conservation and restoration. The work also involves GIS , remote sensing , and machine learning , making it suitable for researchers with strong quantitative and environmental modelling backgrounds. The positions are based at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and SRM University-AP, Guntur . The fellowship is ₹60,000 per month , with a duration of 7 months and possible extension up to 1 year . Eligibility: applicants should have a Ph.D. in Water Resources, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering/Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field. Prior experience with hydrological modelling, ArcGIS Pro, remote sensing, and machine learning is preferred. Application deadline: 21 July 2026 .
