The project is strongly research-oriented and combines
artificial intelligence
,
machine learning
,
quantum machine learning (QML)
,
AutoML
,
SWAT modeling
,
remote sensing
,
geospatial analysis
, and
time-series analysis
to solve environmental and water-resource problems. Example topics include pollution and contamination prediction, rainfall forecasting, water quality monitoring (drinking water, groundwater, rivers, aquaculture), hydrological assessment, sediment load forecasting, meteorological monitoring, and smart water/wastewater treatment.
Eligibility highlights:
applicants should hold an M.Tech/MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Atmospheric Science, or a related field. Strong Python/R programming skills, experience with ML libraries and geospatial tools, and familiarity with time-series methods, remote sensing data, SWAT or hydrologic models, and AutoML/QML are preferred. Good analytical, communication, and scientific writing skills are important; field sampling or lab analysis experience is a plus. GATE/NET qualification is preferred.
Funding:
