PhD Position in Generative AI, Agentic AI and Multi-Agent Systems for Smart Agriculture

PhD position in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Multi-Agent Systems, Smart Agriculture at École Polytechnique de Tunisie within the SERCOM Laboratory , as part of the BRIDGE-AI Horizon Europe project. The project focuses on AI-driven decision support for agriculture, combining multimodal fusion , IoT sensor streams , Earth Observation imagery , weather forecasts, and agronomic knowledge to produce transparent and trustworthy recommendations for farmers. Research directions include semantic harmonisation and interoperability (NGSI-LD, FAIR data principles), agentic AI architectures for autonomous agricultural decision support, multi-agent systems for distributed sensing/reasoning/planning/coordination, and human-AI collaboration. The validation context is a real-world pilot on pomegranate farming in the Sousse region of Tunisia , with access to deployed IoT infrastructure, satellite imagery, and operational pilot sites. The position is full-time and salaried, funded by the BRIDGE-AI project (GA n° 101299050). Eligibility highlights: an engineering degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) is required, along with prior AI experience through a Master's thesis, final-year project (PFE), or research internship. Interest in Generative AI, LLMs, Multi-Agent Systems, Computer Vision, or Remote Sensing is strongly preferred.
