Aarhus University is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantitative Family and Intervention Research at the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences , based in the Couple and Family Research Lab at Aarhus BSS. The position is centered on psychology , quantitative family research , intervention research , and advanced analysis of randomized controlled trial data. The successful candidate will work on a trial evaluating self-help interventions for parenting couples experiencing conflict or relationship distress, including the online OurRelationship program, couple-focused bibliotherapy, and a waitlist control condition. This is a full-time, two-year postdoctoral position with an expected start date of 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The role is designed for a researcher with a strong quantitative profile who can independently handle complex longitudinal and dyadic data, contribute to analysis plans, and co-author high-quality empirical publications. Research tasks include developing detailed analysis plans from preregistered protocols, conducting advanced quantitative analyses, handling missing data and sensitivity analyses, and contributing to manuscript preparation. There is also room for independent research ideas and first-author publications, depending on interests and qualifications. Eligibility highlights : applicants must hold a PhD in psychology, public health, social science, family studies, developmental science, epidemiology, or a closely related field. Strong skills in Stata, R, or similar software are required, along with excellent academic writing and strong English proficiency. Danish is helpful but not required. Experience with dyadic data, multilevel modelling, longitudinal intervention data, RCTs, or open science is an advantage. The position includes a 20% teaching obligation , which may involve teaching and supervision of master’s thesis students or quantitative methodology, depending on the candidate’s profile. Funding and terms : salary and employment conditions follow the collective agreement for academic staff employed by the Danish state.
