Postdoc in Environmental and Molecular Microbiology of PFAS-Contaminated Sites

University of Copenhagen is advertising an 18-month postdoctoral position in Environmental Science and microbiology , focused on PFAS-contaminated soils and sites in Denmark . The project combines environmental microbiology , molecular microbiology , microbial community analysis , 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing , mobilomic sequencing , and other genomic analyses to study how fluoride and PFAS stress microbial strains and communities. The postdoc will work on characterizing microbial communities in polluted environments and investigating the effects of PFAS on bacteria using advanced molecular tools. The role sits at the interface of environmental science, microbiology, and analytical/genomic methods, with relevance to bioremediation and the role of xenobiotics in the environment.
