Postdoctoral Research Associate in Industrial Futures and Regional Energy Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University

Carnegie Mellon University is advertising two opportunities connected to the Industrial Futures Project at the CMU Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. The first is a Research Scientist — Project Director, Industrial Futures role. This position will help lead the Industrial Futures portfolio, including CMU’s work with the Resilient Energy Technology and Infrastructure (RETI) Consortium and the INDABA Partnership . The work spans interdisciplinary research, project and partnership leadership, policy engagement, grant development, and mentorship. The second is a Postdoctoral Research Associate — Industrial Futures and Regional Energy Innovation . This postdoc will support the RETI Policy Council and contribute to research on the drivers of new business success, technology change, energy-system change, entrepreneurship, innovation, industrial transformation, regional development, and energy systems in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The post highlights collaboration across disciplinary boundaries and direct engagement with researchers, firms, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and other partners working on industrial and energy transitions. The Research Scientist role requires a Ph.D. ; the postdoc is aimed at candidates with strong research potential in these areas.
