The group is recruiting one
PhD student
or
postdoctoral researcher
to work on
GIS
,
remote sensing
, and
spatial analysis
for
waste and resource management
and
climate change
. The post highlights opportunities to contribute to research on
emerging waste streams
, including solar PV, wind turbines, and batteries, with research topics adaptable to the applicant’s expertise and interests.
Ideal applicants
should have strong GIS and spatial analysis skills, experience with remote sensing imagery or spatial data, and good English for reading literature, scientific writing, and communication. Backgrounds in

geography

environmental science
, and related fields are welcomed.
Funding:
the PhD position includes a stipend of
RMB 15,000/month
. The postdoc salary is
commensurate with experience
. Eligible appointees may also apply for government living subsidies of up to
RMB 700,000 over two years
and government research funding of up to
RMB 200,000
, subject to policy and approval. Social insurance and housing provident fund contributions follow applicable regulations.
