Matsumae International Foundation Japan Research Fellowship 2027 in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Medicine, and Agriculture

The Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) Research Fellowship Program 2027 is now open for applications for researchers worldwide who want to conduct research in Japan and build international collaboration. This is a fully funded research fellowship for up to 6 months in Japan. Successful fellows receive a monthly allowance of JPY 220,000 , an arrival fund of JPY 120,000 , round-trip economy airfare , and overseas travel insurance with medical treatment and death benefits. The program also includes a study tour to Hiroshima. Priority research fields include Engineering , Natural Sciences , Medicine , Agriculture , and related areas. Applicants must first secure acceptance from a host institution in Japan and obtain a signed letter from the host professor before applying. Eligibility highlights: applicants must be non-Japanese nationals , hold a PhD at the time of application, be 45 years old or younger , have a full-time occupation in their home country , have sufficient English or Japanese ability, and intend to return home after the fellowship.
