Postdoctoral Research Associate in AI for Energy, Smart Grids, and Energy-Aware Computing

Oklahoma State University is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus on AI for energy , smart grids , cyber-physical energy system resilience , and energy-aware computing . The position is hosted by Ying Zhang , Jack H. Graham Endowed Fellow Assistant Professor and IEEE TSG Associate Editor. The research agenda includes energy system modeling, operation, and control; resilience of cyber-physical energy systems against extreme weather or attacks; and the energy/computing nexus, including data centers and power system optimization. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct and publish high-quality research, contribute to proposal development, support externally funded projects, and take part in academic activities as appropriate. Eligibility: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. Prior research experience in power and energy systems, data centers, power system optimization, operation, or related areas is required. Preference is given to candidates who have been or will be in the United States before September 2026, and applicants should state their current work authorization status.
