In the first year, fellows complete a formal higher education teacher training programme, gaining pedagogical skills and a teaching qualification through mentored classroom involvement. Research proposals are welcomed in a wide range of areas, including asset pricing, investment technology, financial econometrics, machine learning, corporate finance, governance, sustainability, international financial markets, monetary policy, time series analysis, social media impact on markets, and financial technology (FinTech).

Applicants must hold a UK master's degree or international equivalent in accounting and finance or a related discipline, preferably at merit or above, and demonstrate strong quantitative and programming skills.
