MPhil Scholarship

MPhil Scholarship Opportunity with Pathway to PhD at the University of Wollongong in Australia.

This fully funded 2-year MPhil scholarship is for a highly motivated candidate to work on a data-driven research project focused on predicting soil swell potential and its impacts on pavement infrastructure. The project combines geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, data science, data analytics, machine learning, and software development.

The successful candidate will contribute to advanced predictive modelling using geotechnical and infrastructure data, integrate analytics and engineering principles, and help design web-based and mobile applications for research translation. Collaboration with industry partners and institutional research collaborators is also part of the project.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably with Honours, in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline. Strong academic performance and research potential are important, and programming, data analysis, or software development skills are desirable. Both domestic and international applicants are welcome, and candidates already based in Australia are strongly encouraged due to the immediate start requirement.
