The project, Decentring Legal Power: Avantgarde Courts at the Frontiers of the Global Economy, is led by Professor Mikael Rask Madsen and examines how new hybrid courts are transforming the global legal order. The research focuses on jurisdictional battles, legal knowledge exchanges, and the rise of litigation hubs across new economic spaces, outer space, and virtual spaces.
This is a fully funded and salaried PhD position. The salary starts at approximately DKK 31,600 per month plus an 18.07% pension contribution. The PhD fellow is expected to contribute teaching and other tasks equivalent to 840 working hours over the three-year employment period. Accommodation is not provided.
Eligibility highlights: applicants must have a master’s-level qualification related to the project area (or an equivalent qualification as described for non-Danish degrees), strong academic English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach at academic level in Danish or English. Applicants must also be able to follow PhD courses in English.
