PhD Scholarship

Deakin University is recruiting a PhD student for a scholarship project on modernising Australian building water services, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities such as hospitals.

This research sits at the intersection of civil engineering, environmental science, public health, and building services. The project aims to develop practical solutions for challenges in Australian buildings and communities, with an emphasis on water systems, infrastructure sustainability, and industry-relevant outcomes.

The opportunity is based at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds Campus (Geelong), and is supported in collaboration with industry partner Hydraulic Consultants Association Australasia Ltd. The successful candidate will work on real-world problems, engage with stakeholders, publish research, and contribute to the future of building water services in Australia.

Strong academic performance is important, but the supervisor is particularly interested in candidates who have gained relevant industry experience in Australia.
