Macquarie University PhD Scholarship

Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia is recruiting one PhD candidate for a scholarship opportunity in sustainable critical minerals recovery and advanced resource processing.

The project is suited to applicants with backgrounds in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mineral Processing, Hydrometallurgy, Process Engineering, or closely related disciplines. The post also welcomes research experience in critical minerals, resource recovery, leaching, plasma technologies, electrochemistry, wastewater treatment, geochemistry, and other sustainable processing technologies.

Funding includes a full tuition fee waiver and a living stipend for 3 years. The opportunity is based at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.

Preferred applicants have relevant research experience, ideally a strong publication record with 1–2 first-author Q1 journal papers, strong English communication skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and international collaboration.
