About this position
The NOVA National School of Public Health at NOVA University Lisbon is offering a 6-month post-doctoral research fellowship within the Horizon Europe-funded LENSES project: Health Literacy ENhancement for Healthy Communities through Social Marketing-Informed Equitable Strategies in Lifelong Cardiovascular Disease Prevention. The fellowship is based in Lisbon, Portugal, and is set to begin in November 2026.
The project sits at the intersection of health sciences, health promotion, public health research, and health intervention evaluation. The successful candidate will support evidence review, ethical and methodological preparation, stakeholder engagement, fieldwork planning, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and the preparation of scientific and technical outputs. The role also includes participation in consortium meetings, missions, dissemination, and knowledge transfer activities.
This is a strong opportunity for a researcher with a PhD in Health Sciences, Health Promotion, or a related field, and with experience in managing health research and intervention projects, especially those addressing vulnerable populations and prevention. The post requires solid communication skills in Portuguese and English, plus immediate availability. Preferred experience includes skills-development initiatives, international collaboration, publication record in indexed journals, and strong organizational autonomy.
The fellowship provides a monthly maintenance allowance of 1,901.00 EUR, with potential to be higher depending on the candidate’s demonstrated technical and scientific expertise. In addition, personal accident insurance and voluntary social security are included. The application window runs from 25 September 2026 to 9 October 2026.

Preferential factors include experience in skills development initiatives, participation in international networks and/or projects, co-authorship of indexed journal publications, and organizational skills and autonomy.
