About this position

Aarhus University is advertising a 2-year postdoc position in soil sensing at the Department of Biology – Microbiology in Denmark. The project is part of the BholdN initiative and focuses on making NH3 (ammonia) emissions visible in biochar-treated fields through advanced optical sensing and in-situ imaging.

The successful candidate will contribute to establishing and developing an in-situ imaging system for NH3, further develop optical NH3 sensors in the laboratory and in the field, and participate in field campaigns. The work is carried out in close collaboration with partners from Copenhagen University and the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering at Aarhus University.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or a similar field. Documented experience in optical sensing is required.
