The project involves designing CMA-based scintillation materials, irradiating them at the Dalton Cumbrian Facility, and establishing structure-property correlations to select optimal candidates for dosimetry applications.
The ideal applicant is ambitious, highly motivated, and practical, with experience in synthetic inorganic chemistry and/or organic materials chemistry. There are opportunities to develop skills in photophysical characterisation, dosimetry, and materials science.
