The doctoral researcher will be enrolled in the Doctoral School in Science and Engineering within the doctoral programme in Engineering Sciences, gaining interdisciplinary, internationally competitive research training in a collaborative academic environment. The role includes conducting high-quality research, developing modelling and simulation methods, processing and interpreting data, collaborating with industrial and academic partners, publishing in scientific journals, presenting at international conferences, and contributing some teaching or student supervision duties.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Engineering, ideally in Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field. A strong background in the energy domain, especially building energy, and an interest in numerical modelling are required. The position asks for excellent English (C1), with German or French at B1 as a strong advantage, and thesis-language proficiency at B2 level.

The contract is fixed term for 36 months, full time (40 hours per week), with a yearly gross salary of EUR 44,531. The post is based at Kirchberg Campus in Luxembourg.
