About this position

The University of Luxembourg invites applications for a doctoral researcher position in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability within the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF). This international research university offers a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary environment, benefiting from its proximity to European institutions, Luxembourg's financial centre, and a vibrant business community. The FDEF is a dynamic academic hub, fostering institutional and private sector partnerships, sponsored Chairs, and a growing network of international partner universities.

The doctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Professor Mickaël GERAUDEL, preparing a doctoral thesis in management. The suggested theme is Entrepreneurship and Sustainability, but candidates may propose other topics within the overarching project theme. The position includes teaching responsibilities (one to three hours per week) in small group settings and tutorials. The researcher will join a large group of PhDs and postdoctoral researchers working on related entrepreneurship topics, providing opportunities to enhance academic knowledge, engage with renowned experts, and strengthen their academic profile.

Applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Management or Economics, preferably with a quantitative profile. Language requirements include at least B2-level proficiency in the thesis language, with accepted certificates as specified by the university. The university offers a modern, dynamic, and inclusive atmosphere, with staff from over 90 countries and membership in The Guild of European Research Intensive Universities. The research environment is exceptional, supported by skilled staff, high-quality equipment, and strong links to professional sectors and the Luxembourg labour market. The urban campus features excellent infrastructure and partnerships with European institutions, innovative companies, the Financial Centre, and a wide range of non-academic partners.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 36 months, full-time (40 hours per week), located at the Weicker Building. The yearly gross salary for doctoral researchers is EUR 43445. Applications should include a CV, cover letter detailing motivation and fit, transcript of university-level courses, and contact information for one referee. Early application is encouraged, as applications are processed upon reception. Applications must be submitted online through the HR system; email applications will not be considered. The University of Luxembourg promotes an inclusive culture and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds.

For further information, applicants may contact Professor Mickaël GERAUDEL. The university is committed to equality and respect for all employees and students.
