The Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford invites applications for a DPhil studentship in synthetic organic chemistry, commencing October 2026. The successful candidate will join the Donohoe group, led by Professor Tim Donohoe, and will focus on redox activation methods for catalysis in organic synthesis. The research aims to develop catalytic approaches for activating organic molecules via oxidation or reduction, with a particular emphasis on stereoselective preparation of complex molecules, asymmetric synthesis, total synthesis, and mechanistic studies.
