About this position
Fully funded PhD studentship in the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, in collaboration with Nature Based Ltd.
The project is titled Experimental & Numerical Analysis of Floating Kelp Farms for Wave Attenuation in Offshore Wind. It explores how large-scale cultivated kelp farms can act as floating breakwaters to protect offshore wind assets. Funding includes full Home fees plus a stipend of £21,805–£22,965 per year for 3 years.
