Dr. Sarah Purcell and Dr. Daryl Wile at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (Kelowna, BC) are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join a research program focused on improving bone health and fracture prevention in people living with Parkinson’s disease. The project combines clinical and patient-oriented research with co-design of digital tools and resources to improve assessment and care.
The student will work with people living with Parkinson’s disease, caregivers, neurologists, registered dietitians, rehabilitation professionals, and implementation scientists. Research activities include assessment of bone health, nutrition, physical activity, falls risk, osteoporosis care, and the co-production and evaluation of patient and clinician resources.
