This PhD project at Coventry University, in collaboration with GITAM, focuses on developing next-generation, energy-efficient electrolysers for green hydrogen production through innovative paired electrocatalysis. The project is highly relevant to the clean-energy strategies of both the UK and India, supporting industrial decarbonisation and energy security, and aligns with national targets for green hydrogen production.
Studentships cover tuition fees and provide a stipend, as well as one return economy airfare to GITAM/Coventry University, visa, and overseas healthcare for the mobility period. Comprehensive research training is offered, including technical, personal, and professional skills development through the Doctoral and Researcher College at Coventry University.
Applicants should hold at least a 2:1 first degree in a relevant discipline, with a minimum 60% in the project element and overall module average, and demonstrate the potential to complete the PhD within 3.5 years.
