About this position
Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is seeking motivated Master’s students for a research opportunity in Technology Management, with preferred backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related fields.
The research is centered on thermal and thermofluid modeling of industrial glass-melting processes. Topics include heat transfer, combustion, fluid dynamics, temperature-field analysis, and thermal process modeling, with supporting work in dynamic modeling, system identification, process control, and AI-enabled optimization.
This is an applied research opportunity involving real industrial process data and collaboration with researchers and industry partners. Students with experience in Python, ANSYS, and/or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools are especially encouraged to apply.
