This is a PhD opening for a period of four years. The nominal PhD programme is three years, with the fourth year distributed as teaching and other duties. The position is based at UiT in Narvik, Norway.

Eligibility highlights: a master’s degree or equivalent in civil engineering, industrial engineering, transport/railway engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or another relevant field; strong academic record; quantitative and analytical skills; and documented English proficiency. Experience with Python, MATLAB, R, machine learning, or data-driven modelling is advantageous. Working knowledge of Norwegian or a Scandinavian language is preferred.
