This is a funded PhD studentship for three years. The award covers tuition fees and includes conference support up to RMB 16,500. The majority of research will be carried out at XJTLU in Suzhou, China, with a possible short-term research visit to the University of Liverpool if needed.

Eligibility highlights include a Master's degree with Merit and a Bachelor's degree with first-class or upper second-class honours, or in exceptional cases a strong Bachelor's-only profile in certain disciplines. Applicants must demonstrate good spoken and written English; IELTS 6.5 or equivalent is required for non-native English speakers.
