About this position
Doctoral Researcher opening at the University of Luxembourg, within the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) and the FINATRAX Research Group. The successful candidate will be enrolled in the PhD program in Computer Science and Computer Engineering with a specialisation in Information Systems. The role is also connected to Prof. Gilbert Fridgen’s PayPal-FNR PEARL Research Grant and the FutureFinTech National Centre of Excellence in Research and Innovation.
Eligibility highlights: Master’s degree in economics, geoinformatics, geographic IS, economics of IS, or a related field; foundational skills in STATA, R, Python, QGIS, or ArcGIS; strong interest in econometrics, geo-spatial analysis, modelling, and socio-technical research; willingness to work on the partner’s premises in Luxembourg City for 1–2 days per week; strong English proficiency (C1/C2, no certificate required).
