About this position
Lund University’s Faculty of Law is advertising one or two doctoral positions in fiscal law, private international law, constitutional law, or procedural law. The research project should fit one of the faculty’s existing research environments.
This is a faculty-funded doctoral studentship at Lund University in Sweden, with a temporary four-year appointment, full-time, and a monthly salary. The position is intended for doctoral study and may include limited teaching, research, and administrative duties up to 20% before the doctorate is awarded.
Research areas: fiscal law (taxes, levies, customs duties), private international law (choice of law, jurisdiction, enforcement of judgments), constitutional law (Swedish democratic system, public power, legislative process), and procedural law (Swedish civil procedural law and dispute resolution).
Eligibility: applicants must meet the general third-cycle entry requirements and the special requirement of a law degree (Master of Laws/juris kandidatexamen/juristexamen) or equivalent qualifications/experience. The degree must be obtained no later than 21 September 2026.
Selection criteria: prior written work such as a master’s thesis, ability to engage in the faculty research environment, relevant education and grades, relevant work experience, and the quality of the proposed research project, including clarity, methodology, theory, and originality.
