About this position

Technical University of Dresden (TUD) is advertising a PhD / research assistant position in Psychology at the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience. Funding is provided through a salaried university employment contract at E13 TV-L (subject to personal requirements). The post includes opportunities to work with advanced neuroimaging and psychophysiology infrastructure, including MRI, EEG, TMS/fNIRS/tFUS/tDCS, and behavioral measurement facilities.

Typical tasks include study coordination, clinical-diagnostic interviews, experimental and neuroscientific investigations, data analysis, scientific writing, supervision of student employees, and participation in teaching and academic service. Independent research and publication are explicitly encouraged.

Applicants should hold a master’s/diploma in psychology or a related field. Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental psychology, and clinical diagnostics is required; prior experience with neuroscientific methods is an advantage. Very good English skills, communication and organizational abilities, teamwork, time flexibility, professional participant contact, and willingness to learn programming languages such as MATLAB are expected.
