PhD Position in MOF-Based Catalysts for Hydroformylation and Cross-Coupling Reactions Max Planck Society in Germany

PhD position in chemistry and materials science focused on the development of MOF-based catalysts for hydroformylation and cross-coupling reactions.

The project involves hands-on research in material synthesis, multi-technique characterization, and heterogeneous catalysis. The successful candidate will benefit from the institute’s analytical departments and workshops, which support a wide range of experimental techniques and can build custom equipment.

Eligibility highlights: a Master’s degree in chemistry is required, with prior experience in organic chemistry or catalysis. Applicants should have a strong theoretical foundation, good English communication skills, teamwork ability, responsibility, and motivation to learn new skills and explore new research directions. No German language skills are required; subsidized German courses are available.

Funding: 3 years of funding with salary at 67% of the E13 pay grade.
