The University of Strasbourg is offering a fully funded PhD position in the Schacherer lab, focusing on phasing polyploid genomes to decipher their phenotypic and adaptive potential. The research will explore the genomic complexity of natural polyploids by phasing the genomes of several hundred individuals from two yeast species, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Brettanomyces bruxellensis.
