PhD positions in AI-driven wireless networks and 6G systems KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) in Sweden

Three fully funded PhD positions are available at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on AI-driven wireless networks and 6G systems. The research is part of two major initiatives, SMART-6GSAT and 6G DICE, aiming to develop next-generation wireless infrastructures that integrate terrestrial and non-terrestrial segments for advanced digital services. Projects include distributed MIMO in space, TN–NTN integration and network design, and joint management of cloud, processing, and radio resources for future AI applications. Students will work in a dynamic, international environment with leading academic, industry, and public partners, and will be supervised by Professors Cicek Cavdar and Emil Björnson.

The positions offer a starting monthly salary of 32,000 SEK, full benefits, and eligibility for permanent residence in Sweden after completion.
