PhD Positions in Bioiontronics and Neuromorphic Computing at EPFL École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland

Two fully funded PhD positions are available in the field of bioiontronics and neuromorphic computing at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Yujia Yoga Zhang. The research group focuses on cutting-edge topics such as iontronic circuits for neuromorphic computing and 3D hydrogel droplet printing for iontronic biointerfaces, combining expertise in bioengineering, materials science, and computer science.

Successful candidates will join an innovative and interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of bioengineering, advanced materials, and computational approaches. The positions offer the opportunity to contribute to emerging research areas with significant impact on future technologies in biointerfaces and neuromorphic systems.

Applicants should have or expect to obtain a Master's degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, materials science, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
