About this position
PhD Studentship in Automated Discovery of Next-Generation Lipid Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery at Imperial College London (Department of Chemical Engineering).
The Elani Group is seeking a motivated PhD student to develop robotics, automation, and high-throughput screening workflows for discovering new classes of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for drug delivery. The project focuses on automated nanoparticle production, rapid characterization, and screening to understand how particle composition and structure affect function.
Research themes include lipid nanoparticle formulation, microfluidic manufacture, robotic liquid handling, nanomedicine, and bioinspired nanoparticles for delivering drugs, nucleic acids, and other therapeutic cargoes. The group’s broader programme spans chemical engineering, chemical biology, synthetic biology, and molecular bioengineering.
Applicants from engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science, and related disciplines are encouraged to apply. The post also welcomes candidates with backgrounds in formulation, pharmaceutical science, or nanomedicine who want to apply automation to scientific discovery.
This is a fully funded PhD studentship for UK or international students.
To apply, contact Dr Yuval Elani by email at [email protected] and register your interest through the FindAPhD page. The listing is based in London, United Kingdom.
