About this position
University College Dublin is advertising a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 2 in the School of Medicine within Systems Biology Ireland (SBI). The project focuses on digital twin approaches for ovarian cancer, combining AI/ML, mechanistic modelling, multi-omics, and perturbation data to build multi-modal computational foundation models and patient-specific digital twin models.
The successful candidate will join the research groups of Professor Walter Kolch and Professor Donal Brennan and work in a multidisciplinary team of computational, experimental, and clinical researchers, including collaboration with an industry partner. The role involves identifying causally grounded predictive biomarkers of response to an antibody-drug conjugate and combination therapies, and supervising a junior computational postdoc.
This is a temporary postdoctoral position with a salary range of €55,399 - €56,957 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The post is intended for researchers who have completed PD1; applicants who have already completed PD2 at UCD, are close to completing PD2, or whose total postdoctoral experience would exceed 6 years should not apply.
Deadline: 2 September 2026 at 12:00 noon local Irish time.
