About this position
Texas A&M University is recruiting a postdoc for a collaborative project supported by the Welch Catalyst for Discovery Program.
The position centers on the computational design of redox-active polymers for energy storage and other functional materials. The postdoc will develop and apply high-throughput quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, and machine learning methods to accelerate polymer discovery and help identify promising new materials with experimental collaborators.
The work will involve close collaboration with the Lutkenhaus, Fout, Wooley, and Pentzer groups at Texas A&M, alongside Daniel Tabor’s group. Strong interest is shown in applicants with experience in polymer modeling, electrolyte modeling, training machine learning models using mixed experimental/computational data, and/or generative models for organic molecules and materials.
The ideal start date is late September to early October 2026, with some flexibility. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
To apply, email [email protected] with your CV and cover letter. More information is available at the linked position page.
