About this position

Postdoc opportunity at the University of Copenhagen in Computational Writing in the Context of Pharmaceutical Data Science Education.

The Department of Science Education and the Center for Pharmaceutical Data Science Education (CPDSE) are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a 2-year fixed-term position starting 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The project sits at the intersection of education, pharmaceutical data science, computer science, and data science education, with a specific focus on computational writing in interdisciplinary higher education.

The postdoc will conduct educational research on how students and teachers develop, use, assess, and interpret computational texts in pharmaceutical data science education. The role includes around 20% teaching and dissemination, mainly in courses and projects hosted by the Department of Science Education, plus university pedagogy training and certification.

Ideal candidates have a strong research profile in university science education and documented data science skills. Helpful experience includes learning analytics, network analysis, quantitative data analysis, student learning research, academic writing, computational notebooks, AI-supported learning, or interdisciplinary higher education. Collaboration across pharmaceutical science, data science, and educational science is an advantage.

The position is based at the University of Copenhagen, within a center jointly involving UCPH and the University of Southern Denmark. The center is supported by major Danish foundation funding. Salary starts at 39,900 DKK/month plus pension contributions, with possible supplements depending on qualifications.

Application deadline: 14 October 2026, 23:59 GMT+1.

How to apply: Submit the application electronically via the APPLY NOW portal in English. Required documents include a motivation letter, CV, diplomas and transcripts, a research plan, documentation of relevant research and teaching experience, a publication list, and up to five relevant papers.
