About this position
Postdoc in electrochemistry research at MAX IV, Lund University (Sweden). This is a 2-year full-time fixed-term postdoctoral position in the Beamline Office / Support Labs team at MAX IV, a Swedish national large-scale research infrastructure hosted by Lund University in Lund.
The project, SEEQuality, is funded through the EU organisation LEAPS and focuses on documenting experimental designs and procedures for reliable, reproducible electrochemical experiments transferable across European research facilities. The work includes developing and testing two to three electrochemical reaction cells, collaborating with partners at ESRF/CEA (France) and HZB (Germany), and publishing CAD models, performance data, and procedures in the open database Wayforlight.
Research areas / keywords: electrochemistry, synchrotron radiation, chemistry, physics, engineering, instrumentation, data analysis, laboratory experiments, reaction cell development.
Eligibility highlights: applicants need a PhD in physics, chemistry, or engineering (or equivalent), with demonstrated experience in electrochemistry research at synchrotron radiation sources or similar large research infrastructures. Strong English, communication, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills are required. Experience with electrochemical reaction cells, electrochemical data analysis, documentation/certification of instrumentation, and synchrotron X-ray instrumentation are listed as merits.
Funding / employment: this is a salaried postdoctoral employment, not a scholarship. The post is full-time, temporary, and lasts 2 years.
Application deadline: 2026-11-08.
