About this position
Open postdoc position in the Kirkeby Lab at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW), University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
The project focuses on how environmental toxicants contribute to Parkinson’s disease, using advanced human stem cell-derived neuronal and glial models to study whether pesticides and other environmental exposures may drive disease mechanisms.
You will join an international consortium funded by the ASAP coalition and The Michael J. Fox Foundation, working with stem cell scientists, clinicians, preclinical Parkinson’s disease researchers, environmental toxicologists, epidemiologists, and analytical chemists.
Research opportunities include advanced 2D and 3D human pluripotent stem cell disease models, high-throughput screening, high-content live imaging, Parkinson’s disease biology including GBA/LRRK2 and PFF seeding models, single-cell RNA sequencing, and functional neuronal assays.
The position is aimed at candidates with a PhD in neuroscience, stem cell biology, or a related field, plus strong experience in neurodegenerative disease research and/or stem cell-based CNS disease modelling.
The postdoc is fully funded, and no fellowships are required. The start date is flexible, with an ideal start in the near future.
To apply, contact the lab directly and send your CV to [email protected].
