About this position
Servier Symphogen is recruiting a Postdoc Scientist for a temporary 18-month position in high-throughput production and quality assessment of multi-specific antibody formats. The role is based in Ballerup, Copenhagen Area, Denmark, within the Antibody Technology department and in close collaboration with Cancer Cell Biology, Protein Purification, Analytical Development, automation specialists, and external CROs.
This opportunity is centered on antibody engineering, recombinant protein production, protein purification, analytical characterization, and workflow automation. The project aims to improve challenging multi-specific antibody production workflows by optimizing chain assembly, purity, yield, reproducibility, expression titers, and quality assessment methods. The successful candidate will help design and validate antibody formats, test alternative expression systems, contribute to automation, and support purification and analytics for therapeutic antibody panels.
Applicants should hold a PhD or be close to obtaining one in biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, protein science, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with gene design and recombinant protein/antibody production is required. Preferred experience includes antibody design engineering, DNA sequence analysis, expression vector design, scripting (Python/R), high-throughput experimentation, laboratory automation, flow cytometry, SPR, and BLI. Excellent English communication skills and a collaborative, structured, and creative mindset are emphasized.
The position offers a competitive salary, flexible working hours, a benefit package, and a research environment focused on innovation and cross-functional teamwork. A substantial budget is already allocated for CRO work to accelerate implementation. The application deadline is 2026-10-30, and applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
