About this position

The Chair of Innovation Management at the University of Neuchâtel, led by Professor Emmanuelle Reuter, invites applications for a part-time (60%) postdoctoral position in Innovation Management and Organization Studies. The position is based within the Institute of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, and is available from August 1st, 2026 or upon agreement.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will conduct independent research projects aligned with the chair’s key areas, including innovation and change, innovation and sustainability, business ecosystem leadership, business and regulation, managerial and organizational cognition, organization theory, and qualitative research. The role emphasizes publishing in top-tier academic journals and contributing to research funding applications. Teaching responsibilities include delivering 6 ECTS per year in (innovation) management and supervising Bachelor and Master’s theses. You will also participate in institutional development and service activities.

Applicants must possess a distinguished PhD in business administration or a related discipline, with demonstrated expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative empirical research methods. A strong interest in the chair’s research areas, commitment to independent research, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment are essential. Teaching experience and proficiency in French are assets, while excellent command of English (oral and written) is required. Strong publication potential, evidenced by publications or submitted papers, is expected.

The University of Neuchâtel offers excellent conditions, including opportunities for engagement within the international scientific community, regular participation in international conferences, and involvement in high-impact research projects. The salary ranges from 94’000 to 99’000 CHF (1st to 3rd year) for 100% employment, with this position at 60% employment and the possibility of temporary increase subject to research funding. The contract duration is three years, with renewal after the first and second year. The university provides an attractive working environment, with approximately 4,500 students from around 100 nationalities, and is ideally located between Geneva and Zürich in the heart of Europe.
