About this position
University of Copenhagen is advertising a part-time 2-year postdoc in mass spectrometry for quantitative proteomics at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, within the Copenhagen Center for Glycocalyx Research and the Olsen Group.
The project focuses on quantitative proteomics, spatial proteomics, phosphoproteomics, FFPE biopsy material, plasma, and extracellular vesicle proteomics. The successful candidate will develop and apply mass spectrometry-based workflows for cancer diagnosis and translational cancer research, including laser-capture microdissection, whole-slide imaging, ultra-sensitive nDIA-MS, and Orbitrap Astral Zoom-based acquisition strategies.

Required experience includes first- or co-author publications in spatial proteomics, phosphoproteomics, or plasma and extracellular vesicle proteomics; handling large proteomics cohorts with experimental design, quality control, batch correction, and statistical analysis; strong expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics with specific experience in spatial proteomics of FFPE samples; bioinformatics analysis of large proteomic datasets and spatial proteomics data; and demonstrated data-independent acquisition (DIA) workflow optimization for high-sensitivity proteomics. Excellent written and spoken English and strong teamwork/communication skills are required. Desirable: collaborative mindset, experience visualizing/presenting proteomics data, supervision of students, and familiarity with Orbitrap Astral Zoom MS, Vanquish NEO LC, and Evosep ENO LC.
