About this position
Postdoc opportunity at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc), Nijmegen, Netherlands. This position focuses on overcoming resistance mechanisms in pancreatic cancer and other solid cancers, with a strong translational and preclinical emphasis.
The project combines cancer biology, drug delivery, nanomedicine, biomedical engineering, and pharmacy-oriented approaches. The successful candidate will work on peptide-functionalized and nanoparticle-based delivery systems, stromal modulation, and strategies to enhance chemo- and immunotherapy. The role includes in vitro and in vivo studies in PDAC models, data analysis, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary ERC framework.
Eligibility highlights: a completed PhD in Cancer Biology, Drug Delivery, Nanomedicine, Molecular Medicine, or a closely related field; experience in cancer cell biology, tumor microenvironment/stroma dynamics, or targeted therapy; practical skills in nanomedicine formulation and characterization; familiarity with molecular biology, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and histological/spatial analysis; and experience with 3D tissue models such as organoids or organ-on-chip systems. Prior in vivo oncology experience is preferred. Strong English and a solid publication record are expected.
Funding and conditions: this is a temporary postdoctoral employment position with standard Radboudumc benefits, including holiday allowance, end-of-year bonus, travel reimbursement, public transport reimbursement, home-working allowance, and salary progression under the collective labor agreement. The post requires living in or near Nijmegen because of possible off-hours laboratory animal work and a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
Application: apply through the AcademicTransfer vacancy page / Euraxess link before 30 Oct 2026, 23:00 UTC. For additional information, the contact person listed is Jai Prakash.
