About this position
Postdoc opportunity in Thermal Processes in Power-to-X Technologies at Aalborg University, Denmark, within AAU Energy.
The position is based at Aalborg University’s Aalborg campus and is part of the Hydrogen and Electrofuels research group in Thermal Engineering. The work focuses on CFD modelling, high-fidelity modelling of coupled thermal, chemical, and electrochemical phenomena, and research connected to power-to-X technologies, hydrogen storage and transport using ammonia, ammonia leakage modelling, and degradation/lifetime modelling for LTEL and HTEL stacks.
The postdoc will contribute to the projects MetNH3Energy and ACE Water, conduct independent and collaborative research, analyse and interpret data, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present results at conferences and meetings with partners in Denmark and Europe. Some limited teaching and supervision at bachelor’s and master’s level may be included.
Eligibility: applicants should hold a PhD in Thermal Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent scientific qualifications at PhD level. Experience with CFD modelling, modelling/simulation tools, and data processing/analysis is expected. Industrial collaboration and EU project experience are advantageous. Strong English communication skills are required; Danish is helpful but not mandatory.
