Postdoc opportunity in Trustworthy DevOps for autonomous vehicles at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

The position is hosted in the Trustworthy cyber-physical systems research group at KTH and is connected to collaborative research projects involving the automotive industry. The research topic sits at the intersection of DevOps, MLOps, autonomous systems, safety-critical systems, software engineering, and cyber-physical systems.

The project investigates how DevOps practices can be adapted for safety-critical autonomous vehicles, addressing the gap between modern software delivery practices and traditional safety engineering. The work includes continuous assurance, field data, verification, architectural design, meta-modeling, contract-based design, and safety cases. There are also opportunities for experimental evaluation, case studies, collaboration with academic and industrial partners, and possible involvement in teaching, MSc thesis supervision, and PhD student supervision.

Eligibility: applicants must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree by the time the employment decision is made. A PhD in software engineering, computer science, safety or systems engineering, vehicle systems, or a closely related area is expected. Strong software engineering and programming skills are required. Preferred experience includes automotive industry exposure, automated driving, safety-critical systems development, research expertise, teaching ability, and collaborative independence.

Employment: temporary full-time postdoctoral position for up to two years at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden. The announcement states a monthly salary, but no stipend amount is given.
