About this position
Postdoc/Postdoctoral Researcher in Cryptographic Protocols and Secure Computation at Technische Universität Darmstadt (ENCRYPTO Group, Computer Science).
The ENCRYPTO Group is recruiting for an immediately available, fully funded 2-year postdoctoral position in the ERC Consolidator Grant project PRIVTOOLS (“Tools for Protecting Data and Function Privacy”). The project focuses on developing composable protocols, optimizations, and tools for protecting data and functions in applications.
Research topics include Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Private Function Evaluation (PFE), and Private Set Operations (PSO) such as Private Set Intersection (PSI) and Private Set Union (PSU). The postdoctoral researcher will work on the design, optimization, implementation, and evaluation of efficient cryptographic protocols and tools for automatic generation, and will publish results in top international venues in applied cryptography and IT security.
Additional responsibilities include project management, close collaboration with doctoral researchers and student assistants, contributing to teaching in the integrated course Cryptographic Protocols, and supervising thesis students.
Eligibility highlight: a hard requirement is prior publication in top venues for applied cryptography/IT security (CORE A*/A), ideally on cryptographic protocols or secure computation.
Funding: fully funded via the ERC Consolidator Grant project PRIVTOOLS.
Location: TU Darmstadt, Germany.
How to apply: review the details page and submit a full application if you meet the publication requirement and related profile. The post encourages qualified candidates to apply promptly.
