About this position

Weill Cornell Medicine is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate in AI for Reproductive Medicine in the Hajirasouliha Lab, led by Iman Hajirasouliha, Associate Professor of Systems and Computational Biomedicine. The lab develops multimodal AI and foundation models for reproductive medicine and women’s health, including embryo assessment and selection from time-lapse imaging, blastocyst ploidy prediction, and PMOS (formerly PCOS) detection from ultrasound.

The role is centered on building the next generation of clinically deployable tools that can improve outcomes in IVF and reproductive care. The lab’s work is trained on millions of clinical images and is already moving toward real-world clinical use in collaboration with IVF clinics, including the WCM Center for Reproductive Medicine. The position also offers exposure to IP, entrepreneurship, and translation of patented technologies into products.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in machine learning, computer science, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience for a comparable Staff/Research Associate role. Strong deep-learning and generative AI skills are important, especially for candidates who can build robust, well-engineered, validated systems beyond prototypes. Experience with software engineering, MLOps, medical imaging, foundation models, and clinical/regulatory translation is highly valued.

The appointment is based at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, within a highly collaborative Tri-Institutional environment spanning Weill Cornell, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Rockefeller. The lab highlights access to world-class clinical collaborators and data, strong mentorship, and opportunities to publish in top venues while shipping tools that reach the clinic.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the position remains open until filled, with priority given to applications received by 2026-07-10. Interested applicants should contact [email protected] and follow the linked lab page for more information.
